The publishing house Einaudi was founded in 1933 by a group of friends, students of the classic D’Azeglio high school.Around the youngest of them, Giulio Einaudi (1912), Leo Ginzburg (1909), Massimo Mila (1910), Norberto Bobbio (1909) and Cesare Pavese (1908), were collected, later accompanied by other figures such as Natalia Ginzburg (Leon's wife) and Giaime Pintor.
